The Year 2000

Start

After leaving China Geely Auto, Mr. Yang Jianguo founded HB Motor Company in the market near his home and began to independently produce small and micro industrial motors.

The Year 2002

Gain public recognition

HB Motor introduced the technologies and techniques from Japan and Germany and started to accept the OEM business for motors. Its output value has been continuously increasing, and up to now, the OEM business is still retained.

The Year 2006

Thrive

After discovering the huge development potential of China's central regions (Shanxi, Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, Hunan), Mr. Yang Jianguo went to Changsha, Hunan,established a new HB in Changsha.

Take off

China is continuously developing rapidly, and we have witnessed the changes in Changsha. At the same time, under the leadership of Mr. Yang Jianguo, the company received venture capital from TaipoYukon and jointly established a new motor company through a joint venture with XEMC: SEUNGEM (Seungem Electric Limited).

Durable

“Solid as a Rock” is what has the most profound impact on SEUNGEM. In 2010, Mr. Yang Jianguo proposed that only products as solid as a rock could ultimately earn the trust of users. This young and new company, Seungem, managed to reach an output value of six million US dollars in just half a year.

The Year 2014

Progressive

The company relocated to Shaoshan, the hometown of Mao Zedong, the founding president of the People's Republic of China. It delved deep into the construction machinery industry and became a leader in the tower crane industry, accounting for 70% of the market share of tower cranes in China (Data source: Zoomlion), with sales reaching 20 million US dollars. Moreover, it established a motor laboratory, independently developed the IC86W closed-type water-cooled motor, deployed the SRMS system, and promoted digital transformation.

The Year 2024

New start

During the ten - year development, SEUNGEM's production capacity has always been saturated. To achieve better and more comprehensive development, SEUNGEM acquired Shimazaki Electric Co., Ltd., built a new 12,000 - square - meter factory, and fully engaged in the R & D and production of permanent - magnet motors, further investing in the future of the electrical industry.
